Topics are only added to an LPI exam when they pass a Job Task Analysis 
survey.  That means the tasks related to Gentoo would have to be submitted 
during the JTA cycle and pass the survey (meaning it is rated important 
enough to a generic Jr Sysadmin's job) to be added to the exam. The 
"importance" isn't decided by anyone technical :-)  It is decided by a 
psychometric analysis of several thousand technical admin's answers to the 
survey.

Level 1 isn't currently in a development stage, but be sure you submit the 
tasks you think are important when it does open.
