I believe you.  The same thing happened to me on my first three attempts to
read Wuthering Heights.  The first two times I didn't even get off of the
first page.  The third time I got to page 26.

I blamed being a high school student with a part time job, active social life
and extra-curricular activities at school for putting me in an exhausted
state.  That is until I got into the IT field and had kids and found out what
real exhaustion is :)
