LPI Hosts Exam Labs at Ohio LinuxFest 2009

(Sacramento, CA, USA: August 27, 2009) - The Linux Professional
Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization
(http://www.lpi.org), announced that they will offer LPIC-1
and LPIC-2 exams at the Ohio LinuxFest 2009 (Columbus, Ohio) on Sunday,
September 27, 2009. This is the fourth year that LPI has been
certification sponsor for Ohio LinuxFest and the event this year will be
celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Unix operating system.

"During LPI's decade long history we have always made an effort to
participate in community-based Linux events in order to promote Linux
and Open Source professionalism. We are happy to once again participate
in the ongoing success of the Ohio LinuxFest. We invite aspiring IT
professionals to take advantage of our promotional exam labs. Recent
studies and reports have indicated the growing adoption of Open Source
Software within enterprise. Our certification is an excellent means
of demonstrating to potential employers and customers your familiarity
with open source solutions and your in-depth professional knowledge of
Linux," said Jim Lacey, president and CEO of LPI.

LPI will offer paper-based tests at the Ohio LinuxFest on
Sunday September 27th at 11:00 and 14:00 hrs. Room location at the
Hyatt Regency Columbus TBA. All LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams
(http://www.lpi.org/eng/certification/the_lpic_program) will be offered
at the promotional price of $99 each--a savings of over $60 per exam.

time slot for taking exams at events at lpi.org and indicate which exams
they intend to take.
