LPI Hosts Exam Labs at SCALE and Indiana Linux Fest

(Sacramento, CA, USA: January 27, 2011) - The Linux Professional Institute
(LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization
(http://www.lpi.org), announced promotional exam labs for their Linux
Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) at SCALE 9x (Los Angeles,
California: February 27, 2011) and Indiana Linux Fest (Indianapolis,
Indiana: March 27, 2011).

Registration for LPI exams at SCALE 9x
(http://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale9x/) and Indiana Linux Fest
(http://www.indianalinux.org/) is available by emailing LPI at
events_at_lpi.org.

Please indicate preferred exam(s) and time slot(s) when registering for
exam events. To participate in the exam labs you must obtain an LPI ID at
LPI's registration area: https://www.lpi.org/caf/Xamman/register

On the day of the exam, candidates may make payment for their exams onsite
15 minutes prior to the exam lab by cheque. Exams may also be paid for in
advance by PayPal or credit card with LPI.  Each exam takes approximately
90 minutes to complete.

In addition, along with their exam payment, candidates should bring their
LPI ID and a government issued photo identification to the exam lab.

All three levels of LPI certification (LPIC-1, LPIC-2 and LPIC-3) will be
offered at these events.  The promotional price for all exams will be
$99 US (regularly $173), except for LPI-301 (the LPIC-3  certification
exam) which will be $219 US (regularly $260).

LPI exams will be proctored by Dru Lavigne of The BSD Certification Group.
Ms.Lavinge will be offering BSD Certification exams at these events.  For

SCALE 9x: Southern California Linux Expo

This is the 9th consecutive year of the Southern California Linux Expo and
will be held on February 25 - 27, 2011 at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport,
5711 West Century Blvd., Lost Angeles, California.  Location and times of
LPI exam labs T.B.A.

The event features over 80 exhibitors, 60 speakers and six special events
including Open Source Software In Education, FOSS Mentoring, DevOps Day
Los Angeles, Los Angeles PostgreSQL Day, SCALE University and Fedora

Indiana Linux Fest: March 25-27, 2011

This is the inaugural Indiana Linux Fest and is organized by The Indiana
F/oss Society.  LPI exam labs will held on March 27 at 11:00 a.m. and
13:00 p.m. at the Wyndam Indianapolis West Hotel (room # T.B.A.).

Conference keynotes include Tarus Balog of OpenNMS.org and Bradley M.
Kuhn, Executive Director, Software Freedom Conservancy. Registration for
