Linux Professional Institute offers reduced pricing on Certification
Exams at the LinuxWorld Utrecht, Netherlands
(Toronto, Canada: October 7, 2005) – The Linux Professional Institute
(LPI), (http://www.lpi.org), the world's premier Linux certification
organization will offer certification testing at reduced pricing during
LinuxWorld Conference and Expo on Wednesday, November 9th and Thursday,
October 10th October at Jaabeurs Utrecht, Netherlands. Those attending
the conference will pay a reduced fee of 35 euros to write the exams
during the conference, rather than the regular price of 110 euros.
“Following the initial success of LinuxWorld Utrecht in 2004, the Linux
Professional Institute is pleased to be participating in this year's
follow-up event. Europe has long been a significant region for LPI
certification and we have noted a growing trend for our exams in the
Netherlands” said Jim Lacey, Chairman of LPI's Board of Directors and
the Office of the CEO. Mr. Lacey added that “LPI exam labs at LinuxWorld
provide an excellent opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to
provide accessible, high-quality certification to the Linux community.”
Representatives from LPI-German will offer LPI 101 and 102 exams in
English only at 11:00 – 12:30 p.m. and 14:00 and 15:30 p.m. on both
days. Candidates are requested to meet 15 minutes prior to exam times at
the LPI booth 4B045 in the exhibition hall. Candidates must pre-register
on the LPI website at https://www.lpi.org/en/register.html to receive an
identification number and must bring valid photo identification and
their LPI ID number to the exam events. Candidates seeking more
information on the exams and the LPI booth should email

of LPI-German will be staffing the LPI booth at LinuxWorld Utrecht. LPI
Certification team member, Machtelt Garrels, will also be speaking at
the conference on November 10th at 12:10 p.m. on the value of Linux
certification for both employees and employers.
